   • Millinery designs and shapes to be illustrated are selected

2. Sketch millinery designs
   • Millinery sketch is produced in 3 dimensional format
   • Millinery sketch depicted in correct proportion to the head and body
   • Front, back and side views are sketched
   • Details of complex designs are sketched
   • Alternative sketches are provided if necessary
   • Features of sketch are explained
3. Prepare millinery designs
   • Detailed production sketch is developed
   • Production sketch includes construction details
   • Relationship to hair, figure, face and garment style are considered in the design of millinery
   • Material selected has appropriate characteristics for millinery design
   • Combination of materials selected are appropriate for millinery design
   • Alternatives are experimented with and researched if necessary
4. Work to quality and safety standards
   • Workplace quality standards and procedures for specific task are identified
   • Work is conducted to meet workplace quality standards
   • OHS practices for the specific task are identified
   • Work task is conducted according to OHS practices
